CANCELLED Triple P Stepping Stone Booklet: Social Skill - Hawksbury - Winter 2020

21 Jan 2020 2:00 pm -3:30 pm

Social skills are the things we do that help us to get along with other people. Developing social skills is important for all children and help them to make friend and have good self-esteem.     Children begin to learn early social skills from every-day interactions with their parents and other people they are familiar with.   Some children who have a disability take longer than others to develop social skills and some particular disabilities are associated with a deficit in the development of social skills.   For these children, a more structured approach to teaching social skills can be useful.

This booklet and workshop contains ideas for parents to encourage their children to develop social skills in a range of situations.
